Ingredients

  • 2 lb. deer chops
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery

Method

  • Brown chops in skillet.
  • Remove and replace in baking dish. Brown onions and celery in butter.
  • Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly until flavors are well blended, about 15 minutes. Pour sauce over chops and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
