- 3 lb. spareribs, cut in pieces
- 1 medium onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 c. catsup
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- salt and pepper
Method
- Brown spareribs on all sides.
- Brown onion in butter.
- Add remaining ingredients and cook slowly until flavors are blended, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Pour sauce over spareribs.
- Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until done at 350°.
