Ingredients
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire
- 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- dash of salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
Method
- Heat oil in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan over low heat.
- Add onion and saute until tender.
- Mix in remaining ingredients.
- Simmer 15 minutes or until thickened.
- Pour over ribs (browned) or chicken in a baking pan and bake, covered, 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350°. Yields about 3 cups (enough to cover 6 servings chicken or ribs).
