Ingredients

  • 3 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 2 tsp. butternut flavoring
  • 2 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Method

  • Sift salt, baking powder and flour together.
  • Cream Crisco and margarine.
  • Add sugar and beat well.
  • Add eggs, one at at time, beating well after each.
  • Add flour mixture and milk alternately. Add flavorings.
  • Pour into well greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
  • Place in cold oven and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
