Ingredients

  • 4 c. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • vanilla wafers
  • 4 to 6 bananas

Method

  • In 4-quart saucepan, add 3 cups milk and margarine.
  • Mix sugar and flour and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • In remaining cup of milk, add egg yolks.
  • Mix and add to milk and margarine.
  • After margarine has melted, add flour, sugar and salt.
  • Bring to boil on medium heat. When at a full rolling boil, add vanilla and turn off.
  • Arrange wafers on bottom of 13 x 9-inch glass dish with bananas.
  • Add pudding after cooled.
  • Arrange more wafers on top.
