Ingredients
- 6 small or 3 large onions, sliced
- 3 to 4 large green peppers, chopped
- 2 to 3 packets George Washington seasoning powder
- 1 can French fried onion rings
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 pkg. orzo
Method
- Saute onions and green peppers in the stick of butter.
- Cook the orzo al dente.
- Rinse orzo in cold water after cooking; place in casserole dish.
- Sprinkle seasoning powder over sauteed onions and peppers; gently stir in all but a few of the onion rings.
- Add this mixture to the orzo in the casserole dish; place remaining onion rings on top.
- Bake at 350° until hot clear through.
- May be frozen before baking.
