Ingredients

  • 8 oz. mostaccioli
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 6 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook mostaccioli in
  • a large amount of boiling salted water for about 14 minutes or just until tender.
  • Set aside.
