- 8 oz. mostaccioli
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 6 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- Cook mostaccioli in
- a large amount of boiling salted water for about 14 minutes or just until tender.
- Set aside.
