Ingredients
- 4 c. cubed bread
- 2 eggs
- chopped onions (as desired)
- milk (to completely moisten)
- bacon strips
Method
- Mix first 4 ingredients as for any filling.
- Lay 2 bacon strips crisscross on wax paper.
- With hands, form bread mixture into balls about size of fist and lay on bacon strips.
- Fold bacon around filling and fasten with toothpick, if desired.
- Lay side by side in pie plate or shallow baking dish and bake at 350° about 1/2 hour.
- (Balls can also be put on broiler pan to bake so fat drains off.)
