Ingredients

  • bacon, fried crisp, drained and crushed
  • 1 can quick crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 slices American cheese
  • 3/4 c. sour cream

Method

  • From crust in ungreased 9-inch pie plate with dinner rolls. Sprinkle with bacon, top with tomato slices.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place cheese slices on top.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff and put aside.
  • In large bowl, combine yolks, sour cream, flour, salt and pepper.
  • Blend well.
  • Gently fold in whites until a few lumps remain.
  • Do not over-blend.
  • Pour into crust over cheese. Sprinkle with paprika.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean and crust is brown.
  • Can be refrigerated up to 4 hours before baking.
  • Can substitute onion salt for salt in puff topping.
