Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 13 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 34 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 12 cup milk
  • 14 cup vegetable oil

Method

  • Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine eggs, milk and oil; add to oat mixture, stirring just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
  • Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3 inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pan 10 minutes.
