Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 lb. bacon
- 2 cans sliced water chestnuts (whole water chestnuts can be used)
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 1/4 c. Hellmann's mayo
Method
- Wrap water chestnuts in 1/3 to 1/2 strip of bacon; secure with toothpick.
- Arrange in a 9 x 13-inch pan with toothpicks up.
- Oven brown 1/2 hour; drain off fat.
- Mix the brown sugar, chili sauce and mayo until blended.
- Pour mixture over chestnuts.
- Bake at 400° for 45 minutes.
