Ingredients
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cocoa
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. veggie oil
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. boiling water
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Add cocoa into 2 cups boiling water. Cook on low until slightly thick.
- Stir constantly.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then add in a large mixing bowl, sugar, vanilla, eggs and oil.
- Beat well.
- Add flour and baking powder.
- Beat well.
- Put baking soda in a cup and add 1/2 cup boiling water.
- Stir well. Add to batter.
- Beat well.
- Pour into a well greased and floured cake pan.
- Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Ice with cream cheese frosting.
