Ingredients
- 3 lb. fresh asparagus or 3 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 6 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
- 1/2 c. salted cashew nuts, coarsely chopped
Method
- Cook asparagus in salted water in large covered skillet until tender, about 18 minutes; or if using frozen asparagus, cook as directed on package.
- Drain and arrange on heated platter.
- While asparagus cooks, melt butter in small saucepan; add lemon juice, marjoram and cashew nuts.
- Simmer over low heat for about 3 minutes.
- Pour over cooked asparagus.
- Yields 10 servings.
