Ingredients

  • 20 slices thin white bread
  • 3 oz. Blue cheese
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 20 asparagus spears (canned)
  • 1/2 lb. butter, melted

Method

  • Trim bread crusts and roll the bread to flatten. Blend the cheeses and egg.
  • Spread on each slice of bread.
  • Roll asparagus spears onto each slice.
  • Dip into melted butter.
  • (The bread was rolled with asparagus on it.)
  • Place rolls on cookie sheet and freeze.
  • When frozen slice into 4 quarters.
  • Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • This recipe freezes well, but set out 1 hour before baking.
