Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. chopped celery and chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 2 tart apples, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Method
- Melt margarine in large saucepan on medium-high heat.
- Add celery, onion and poultry seasoning.
- Cook and stir until onion is tender.
- Add broth and bring to boil.
- Stir in apples, rice and cinnamon; cover.
- Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes.
- Stir in walnuts and parsley.
- Makes 8 servings.
