Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery and chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 2 tart apples, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley

Method

  • Melt margarine in large saucepan on medium-high heat.
  • Add celery, onion and poultry seasoning.
  • Cook and stir until onion is tender.
  • Add broth and bring to boil.
  • Stir in apples, rice and cinnamon; cover.
  • Remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes.
  • Stir in walnuts and parsley.
  • Makes 8 servings.
