Ingredients

  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 8 sheets phyllo pastry
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • confectioners sugar

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Grease a baking sheet.
  • To prepare pastry, unfold sheets of phyllo so they lie flat.
  • Stack 4 sheets on plastic wrap.
  • Brush top sheet with butter.
  • Keep other sheets covered with plastic wrap and damp cloth (to keep from drying out).
  • Spread 1/2 pie filling on short side of phyllo.
  • Roll jelly roll style, using plastic wrap as guide.
  • Repeat with remaining sheets.
  • Bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Cool sheets on wire racks for 15 minutes.
  • Transfer to serving tray until cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
