Ingredients

  • 1 c. nuts
  • 3 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. oleo
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 5 c. pared apples, chopped fine

Method

  • Combine flour, sugar, oleo, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon in large mixing bowl.
  • Mix until well blended.
  • Mixture will be dry.
  • Add apples, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in 1 cup nuts.
  • Turn into a well greased and floured Bundt pan or 10-inch tube pan.
  • Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then remove.
