Ingredients
- 2 apples medium, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 13/16 cup sliced almonds
- 1 1/2 cups rye flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 11/16 cup brown sugar
- 2 3/8 tablespoons honey
- 5 1/4 tablespoons butter
- 5 1/16 tablespoons milk
- 2 medium eggs
Method
- Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
- Place the apple into a pan with the cinnamon. Mix well.
- Combine the almonds, flour, and baking powder.
- Melt the sugar with the honey and butter until dissolved, heating slightly.
- Add the milk and eggs to the sugar mixture and then stir in the dry ingredients. Add the apple.
- Pour the batter into a rectangular baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
