Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 qts. apples
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Combine sugar, water and cornstarch in saucepan; cook and stir until smooth.
- Add apples and cinnamon and cook until apples are tender.
- Place suitable amount in unbaked pie crust. Top with butter slices, another pie crust, and bake at 400° until done.
- * You can make pies, wrap completely with foil and freeze.
- To bake, thaw at room temperature or refrigerator and bake as usual.
