Ingredients

  • 6 apples, peeled and cored
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. butter
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • pie dough for a 2 crust pie
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Method

  • Roll out pie dough.
  • Cut dough to fit each apple.
  • Put 1 tablespoon sugar in center of each apple, along with a dot of margarine and cinnamon.
  • Wrap apple in pie dough.
  • Place in pan big enough to hold 6 apples.
  • Combine water, margarine and sugar in saucepan.
  • Heat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour syrup over apples and bake at 425° for 35 to 40 minutes.
