Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter, softened
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped (1 c.)
  • 1/2 c. chopped black walnuts or walnuts
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Method

  • In a 12-cup mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed about 30 seconds.
  • Add half of the flour, the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, baking soda, vanilla and salt.
  • Beat until thoroughly combined.
  • Beat in remaining flour. Stir in oats, apple, walnuts and raisins.
