Ingredients

  • 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 20 oz. crushed pineapple
  • 1 box one-step angel food cake mix
  • 12 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • chopped nuts

Method

  • In a large, deep, non-plastic bowl, dissolve gelatin in cold water.
  • Add boiling water & stir until cool.
  • Add pineapple and juice.
  • Fold in dry cake mix and watch it rise.
  • When double in size, add whipped topping. Pour into 9 x 13 inch pan and top with nuts.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Cut into squares when cold.
