Ingredients
- 5 c. unsifted flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. lard
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Cut shortening into dry ingredients.
- Add yeast and buttermilk.
- Cut like biscuits, slash and fold over.
- Bake at 475° for 15 to 20 minutes.
