Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 packages 3-oz cream,softened
  • 2 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp almond liqueur
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour sifted
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • Beat butter and cream cheese until creamy.
  • Add sugar a little at a time beating until light and fluffy.
  • add liqueur and vanilla beat until blended.
  • gradually add flour to butter mixture, beating at low speed.
  • add eggs one at a time just until blended after each one.
  • sprinkle almonds over bottom of greased.
  • and floured bundt cake pan.
  • pour batter into pan.
  • bake for one hour and five minutes.
  • during the last ten minutes of bake time i make my glaze.
  • Almond Amaretto glaze.
  • bring three-quarter cup sugar, six tbsp.
  • butter,one quarter cup almond liqueur 2 tbsp water to a boil in a small sauce pan.
  • stirring often; reduce heat to a medium low, and boil.
