Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Shelled almonds, soaked 5 hr in 1 1/2 c water
  • 3/4 c. Raisins, soaked 5 hrs in 1/2 c water
  • 1/4 c. Dates, pitted, soaked 1 hour in 1/8 c water
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Cloves
  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp Grated lemon peel Grnd alomnds -=Or possibly=-" unit="c" qty="1/3 shredded coconut

Method

  • Drain soaked almonds & throw away their soaking water.
  • Drain the soaked fruit (this soaking water could be reserved to act as a sweetener in other recipes).
  • Grind almonds, raisins, dates in a food processor.
  • Fold in the spices & lemon peel thoroughly.
  • Form the dough into balls & rol in either grnd almonds or possibly shredded coconut.
  • Chill till ready to serve.
  • Will keep up to 1 month.
