Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. almonds, ground
- 1 c. sliced almonds
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. flour
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Have ungreased cookie sheet.
- Beat butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and almond extract; beat medium speed until pale.
- Add ground almonds and flour.
- Mix just until blended. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll heaping tablespoon dough into 1 1/2-inch ball in sliced almonds.
- Bake 15 to 18 minutes.
- Yields 18 cookies.
