Ingredients

  • German Potato Salad
  • 2 # potatoes,cook & slice or 3 lg cans sliced potatoes
  • 1 # bacon, cook till tender
  • 1 lg sweet onion, course chop
  • 1 c water
  • 2/3 c vinegar, reg or apple cider
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 -3 Tbsp cornstarch, more if needed to thicken liquid

Method

  • Cook bacon til tender,course chop. Saute onion in small amount bacon grease til tender & clear color. Combine liquids, sugar and cornstarch, mix till dissolved. Place in pan w, onion & bacon, heat to boil, stir til thickened. Add potatoes or mix all together in crockpot-serve warm. Enjoy. Some people like celery or caraway seeds also for flavor-optional.
