Ingredients
- 5 whole Medium Potatoes (white Preferrably)
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 whole White Or Yellow Onion, Chopped
- Garlic And Seasoning Salt To Taste
- 2 cans 16 Oz French Style Green Beans
- 1 jar 16 Oz Spaghetti Sauce (Ragu)
- 1 package 12 Oz Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Peel and cook potatoes (boil or bake them) and then mash them (or you can buy the frozen potatoes the steam and mash kind.
- This is what I do so just follow preparation instructions on the package).
- Brown hamburger meat.
- Add chopped onion and brown as well.
- Add seasoning to hamburger mixture and cook until meat is fully cooked.
- Drain grease.
- Open the two cans of green beans and drain juice.
- Add green beans, pasta sauce, and hamburger meat mixture to casserole dish and stir together.
- Add more seasoning if desired.
- Cover the top of the mixture with the mashed potatoes.
- Cover the mashed potatoes with the shredded cheese (I use Monterrey Jack blend).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and getting crispy.
- Let cool approximately 10 minutes prior to serving.
