Ingredients

  • 5 whole Medium Potatoes (white Preferrably)
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 whole White Or Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • Garlic And Seasoning Salt To Taste
  • 2 cans 16 Oz French Style Green Beans
  • 1 jar 16 Oz Spaghetti Sauce (Ragu)
  • 1 package 12 Oz Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Peel and cook potatoes (boil or bake them) and then mash them (or you can buy the frozen potatoes the steam and mash kind.
  • This is what I do so just follow preparation instructions on the package).
  • Brown hamburger meat.
  • Add chopped onion and brown as well.
  • Add seasoning to hamburger mixture and cook until meat is fully cooked.
  • Drain grease.
  • Open the two cans of green beans and drain juice.
  • Add green beans, pasta sauce, and hamburger meat mixture to casserole dish and stir together.
  • Add more seasoning if desired.
  • Cover the top of the mixture with the mashed potatoes.
  • Cover the mashed potatoes with the shredded cheese (I use Monterrey Jack blend).
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and getting crispy.
  • Let cool approximately 10 minutes prior to serving.
