Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 c. flour
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Mix 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
  • Heat milk, water and butter to 120° to 130°.
  • Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
  • Add 1/4 cup flour, beat at high speed 2 minutes.
  • Stir in enough additional flour to make soft dough.
  • Knead 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Divide dough in 12 equal balls. Place on cookie sheet.
  • Let rise 30 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 375° and bake 10 to 20 minutes or until done.
  • Remove from pan to cool.
