Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats rolled regular, old-fashioned
  • 2 cups water or milk, or a combination of water and milk
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  • Combine oats, water or milk and a pinch of salt in a pot over medium heat.
  • Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • Simmer until the liquid is adsorbed and the oatmeal reaches the desired consistency (about 10-15 minutes). Top with any topping (see the link to the recipe)..
