Ingredients

  • 2 (6-inch) zucchini
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. finely chopped dill leaves
  • 5 Tbsp. bacon fat or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream

Method

  • Peel and grate zucchini.
  • Cook for 10 minutes the zucchini, water, vinegar, salt, paprika and dill leaves.
  • In another pan, brown the onion and flour mixture in the bacon fat or margarine. Mix small amounts of zucchini mixture into the browned mixture until all is combined and smooth.
  • Cool mixture a bit, then add the sour cream.
