Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large diced green pepper
  • 2 sliced celery ribs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 12 teaspoon oregano
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 18 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 12 cups tomato juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 lb large shrimp
  • 4 cups hot cooked rice

Method

  • Heat butter, green pepper, celery, onion, oregano, garlic powder, & cayenne pepper until veggies are crisp.
  • Add tomato juice.
  • Heat to boil.
  • Simmer for 5 minute.
  • Mix cornstarch & 1/2 cup tomato juice until smooth.
  • Add mixture & shrimp to vegetables.
  • Cook till mixture boils, thickens, & shrimp turns pink.
  • Let simmer 1 hour.
  • Serve over rice.
