Ingredients

  • 2 large Yellow tail (buri)
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 2 tsp Shio-koji (salt-fermented rice malt)
  • 5 cm Daikon radish
  • 1/3 Carrot
  • 1 stalk Green onion
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 2 tsp Garlic soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil

Method

  • Chop each yellow tail into 3 pieces, and marinate in the ingredients for 15 minutes.
  • Julienne the daikon radish and carrot, then cut the green onion into thin round slices.
  • Arrange the daikon radish and carrot in a heatproof dish, and swirl in the ingredients.
  • Place the yellow tail on top, loosely cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 4-5 minutes.
  • When finished cooking, sprinkle with the green onion.
