Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk, scalded
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. yeast to 1/4 c. warm water
  • 4 c. flour

Method

  • Scald 1 cup milk.
  • Add shortening.
  • Cool.
  • Beat eggs and 1/2 cup sugar. Add salt, cool milk and shortening.
  • Add yeast dissolved in water.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Let rise for 4 hours. Refrigerate, then divide into 3 balls.
  • Spread soft butter on it. Cut into 12 wedges.
  • Roll each roll out side edge into point. Place on a cookie sheet.
  • Let rise for 4 hours.
  • Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
