Ingredients
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast to 1/4 c. warm water
- 4 c. flour
Method
- Scald 1 cup milk.
- Add shortening.
- Cool.
- Beat eggs and 1/2 cup sugar. Add salt, cool milk and shortening.
- Add yeast dissolved in water.
- Stir in flour.
- Let rise for 4 hours. Refrigerate, then divide into 3 balls.
- Spread soft butter on it. Cut into 12 wedges.
- Roll each roll out side edge into point. Place on a cookie sheet.
- Let rise for 4 hours.
- Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
