Ingredients
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 scant Tbsp. salt
- 5-6 c. flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Add sugar, salt, shortening and 2 cups flour.
- Blend well.
- Add flour to make a soft dough. Knead well.
- Let rise until doubled in size.
- Make into rolls. Place in greased pans and let rise until doubled again.
- Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes.
- Makes 24 to 30 rolls.
