Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef tenderloin or round steak, cut in 1/2-inch cubes or strips
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped bell peppers
  • 1 c. finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. cooking oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 c. cooked cold rice
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce

Method

  • Brown meat on medium-high heat setting, stirring often.
  • Add vegetables and cook 5 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce and rice.
  • Stir and mix well but lightly.
  • Taste before salting, because soy sauce is salty.
  • Good served with a green salad and French bread.
  • Yields 6 servings.
