Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 1/2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Cream the margarine, butter and sugars. Add egg and mix well.
  • Add oil, oats, cornflakes, coconut and nuts; stir well.
  • Add flour, soda and salt mixture.
  • Form into balls the size of walnuts and flatten with a fork dipped in water. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
