Ingredients
- 1/3 c. rinsed wild rice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- water
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. flour
- 4 c. milk
Method
- Mix wild rice, salt and water.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer on low for 45 minutes.
- Drain.
- Saute celery and onion in margarine until done.
- Add sauted mixture to salt, pepper, flour and milk and heat. Add wild rice, heat again.
- Serve with chopped parsley and/or bacon, crumbled.
