Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Uncle Ben's long grain/wild rice
- 1 lb. hot bulk pork sausage
- 2 pkg. dry chicken noodle soup mix
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 rib celery, finely chopped
- 1/2 medium bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 4 1/2 c. boiling water
Method
- Fry sausage until almost done.
- Add celery, bell pepper and onion; saute until transparent.
- Pour off grease and add rest of ingredients.
- Pour into a large, greased casserole dish.
- Bake for one hour at 350°.
- (Bake for 40 minutes, covered, and 20 minutes uncovered.)
- Serves 8 to 10.
