Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Uncle Ben's long grain/wild rice
  • 1 lb. hot bulk pork sausage
  • 2 pkg. dry chicken noodle soup mix
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 rib celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 medium bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 4 1/2 c. boiling water

Method

  • Fry sausage until almost done.
  • Add celery, bell pepper and onion; saute until transparent.
  • Pour off grease and add rest of ingredients.
  • Pour into a large, greased casserole dish.
  • Bake for one hour at 350°.
  • (Bake for 40 minutes, covered, and 20 minutes uncovered.)
  • Serves 8 to 10.
