Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 4 tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp. molasses

Method

  • Combine flour, wheat germ, garlic, and healthy pinch of salt in a large bowl.
  • Cut in butter.
  • Stir in beaten egg, molasses, and lowfat milk.
  • Add in sufficient water so mix can be shaped into a ball.
  • Roll dough onto a floured board to a thickness of 1/2 inch.
  • Cut with any shape cookie cutter and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 20 min.
  • Makes approximately 30 biscuits.
