Ingredients

  • 2 lb. small white boiling onions
  • 1 c. beef broth or bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar (more to taste)
  • 2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 c. melted butter or margarine

Method

  • Place onions and bouillon or broth in a saucepan, covered. Bring to boil and simmer 20 minutes or until onions are tender. Remove onions to shallow baking dish (reserve broth for another use).
  • Combine sugar, mustard, salt, paprika and melted butter. Mix well and pour over onions.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
