Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables

Method

  • Combine meat, cracker crumbs, egg, onion, salt and pepper and form into 20 meatballs.
  • Brown in oil over medium heat.
  • In medium saucepan, combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, onion soup mix and sugar.
  • Add meatballs and vegetables.
  • Simmer 30 minutes.
