Ingredients
- 6 oz. white chocolate, grated
- 1/4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 3 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 16 pecan halves
Method
- Place
- chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to
- a boil.
- Reduce
- heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Combine cream
- cheese and
- sugar;
- beat at medium speed until smooth.
- Add chocolate and
- vanilla,
- beating well. Stir in chopped pecans or walnuts.
- Press
- chocolate
- mixture
- into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm. Cut into squares.
- Top each piece
- with
- pecan half, pressing gently. Store in refrigerator. Yield:
- About 1 1/2 pounds.
