Ingredients

  • 6 oz. white chocolate, grated
  • 1/4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 3 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 16 pecan halves

Method

  • Place
  • chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to
  • a boil.
  • Reduce
  • heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Combine cream
  • cheese and
  • sugar;
  • beat at medium speed until smooth.
  • Add chocolate and
  • vanilla,
  • beating well. Stir in chopped pecans or walnuts.
  • Press
  • chocolate
  • mixture
  • into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm. Cut into squares.
  • Top each piece
  • with
  • pecan half, pressing gently. Store in refrigerator. Yield:
  • About 1 1/2 pounds.
