Ingredients

  • white potatoes (amount depending on number of servings)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter (increase for larger amounts of potatoes)
  • 1 onion
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Peel and slice potatoes (approximately 1/8-inch thick).
  • Place butter in frying pan and melt over low heat (do not burn).
  • Put in potatoes and chopped onion with small amount of water.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook until potatoes are tender and water has boiled away.
  • (If too much water when potatoes are done, turn up heat and watch until water absorbs.)
  • Do not brown.
