Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced watermelon
  • 1 cup chopped sweet onion (such as Vidalia(R))
  • 1 serrano chile pepper, diced
  • 1 serrano chile pepper, seeded and diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 2 pinches garlic powder

Method

  • Combine the watermelon, onion, serrano chile peppers, garlic, and cilantro in a large bowl; add the salt and garlic powder and stir to combine. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
