Ingredients

  • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine, soft
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. dairy sour cream

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Cream 1 cup sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in vanilla and egg.
  • Gradually add flour, soda and salt to creamed mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls.
  • With thumb, make imprint in center of each cookie. Combine topping ingredients and fill each cookie with 1 teaspoonful.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 to 14 minutes.
