Ingredients

  • 1 frozen pie crust about 8 oz
  • 2 3/4 ounces walnut halves
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
  • 1/3 cup golden syrup can substitute light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar sifted, to serve

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Place crust in a pie pan on a baking sheet and bake for 10 mins or until golden. Cool completely. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F.
  • Scatter walnuts over base of crust. Whisk eggs, cream, sugar, golden syrup and vanilla in a large bowl until well combined. Pour over walnuts.
  • Bake for 35-40 mins or until filling is just set at center. Cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.
