Ingredients
- olive oil
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper
- 3 Tbsp. vodka
- 1 c. heavy cream
- penne pasta
Method
- Heat olive oil in saucepan; add garlic; fry well.
- Add tomatoes and cook for 20 minutes.
- Add red pepper flakes.
- Add bay leaf and vodka and mix well.
- Cook 5 minutes, then add heavy cream and mix well, stirring until all blended.
- Cook 5 more minutes, then lower heat.
- Let cook over low heat about 20 minutes, then pour over penne and serve.
