Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. scrod
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • paprika
  • 1/3 to 1/2 c. melted butter
  • seasoned bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Heat oven to 500° or 525° (yes!).
  • Wash and towel dry fish. Arrange in fairly thick portions on small baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice.
  • Season with salt, pepper and paprika.
  • Combine melted butter with enough bread crumbs to make a soft mixture. Spoon/pat thickly on top of fish and press down firmly.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
