Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. raisins
- 3 c. uncooked rolled oats, old-fashion or quick
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Beat together margarine or butter and sugars until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; add to liquid mixture.
- Mix well.
- Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
- Bake 30 minutes in 9 x 13-inch ungreased baking pan.
- Yield: 24 medium bars.
